Armor

- The standard armor is made mostly of steel, making it quite robust
for the price given. But it is possible to get a special custom-
made space craft armor sheething. (plates you put outside your
craft, or even special made ship-hull. This often increases the
live-time under fire by hostile alot)

- If armor plating occurs, the armor plating will be an external layer
like shields, it will take the damage before the ship hull is under
attack. The DR from armor plating does not work when the armor
plating is destroyed

- When purchasing armor, or buying a new ship. You need to calculate
the hitpoints and damage reduction total. The needed stats for size
is located at the top of the list, and has a list of “Armor DR Modifier”.
You will multiply the DR of the armor by this number, to have the final
armor's total DR. The hitpoints is easy as time the hull thickness noted
above with the hp/meter noted on the armor type.

Additions

Armor Plating:

- Adds an additional suit of armor to your spacecraft, increasing
outer ship hull by 50% (small has a standard hull of 2 meters, which
will then be an additional 1 meter armor plating)

Ship Hull:

- The standard piece of armor on spacecraft, this Ship Hull extends
to also support electrical wiring, and shield emitters (shield
emitters bought seperately). These when bought, comes with specs
before purchase, or comes with stats when purchased.

Heavy Armor:

- Made out of any piece of armor plating (armor type that can be
crafted as a full ship-hull) the heavy armor is the whole ship
hull made 150% thickness of standard hull thickness. This slows
down maneuvers, but gives other benefits besides the extra armor.
- Having heavy armor, the ship gives a -2 penalty for pilot checks.
- Having heavy armor means that the ships systems will only start
being damaged at 25% of the ships max Hull Points (standard is
50%).
- there will be a DR +5 against Ion Weapon Technology (EMP/Ion Damage attacks).
- +1 Defense/AC.
; Price: Standard Ship hull price *1.50

Thin Armor:

- The reverse of heavy armor, a thin armor is mostly fitted onto
racing crafts. With thin armor, the hull will only be 50%
standard thickness.
- Having thin armor, the ship gives a +2 bonus for pilot checks.
- Having thin armor means the ship systems will start being damaged
at 75% max hull points (standard is 50%).
; Price: Standard Ship hull price *0.75

Armor Types

Steel Armor:

The standard piece of armor for a ship, this makes quite a durable
compound for its price.

    Armor Plating:
Cannot be fitted with Heavy Armor or any similar armor plating.
Ship takes 3 less points of damage from extreme temperatures.
Armor Plating has: DR 10, 60hp/meter
; Price: 3500*SS

    Ship Hull:
Ship takes 3 less points of damage from extreme temperatures.
Ship Hull has: DR 10, 60hp/meter
Armor to AC: 5
; Price: 5000*SS

Alchemical Treated Armor:

You treat standard steel with alchemy, making a very durable
compound. This ensures alot more fire proofing, and better resistance
to temperatures. But comes with its price.

   Armor Plating:
Cannot be fitted with Heavy Armor or any similar armor plating.
Ship takes 3 less points of damage from extreme temperatures.
Armor Plating has: DR 12, 60hp/meter
; Price: 6000*SS

   Ship Hull:
Cannot be fitted with any other kind of ship hull, but you can
fit extra armor plating on the ship.
Ship takes 3 less points of damage from extreme temperatures.
Ship Hull has: DR 12, 60hp/meter
Armor to AC: 5
; Price: 9000*SS

Titanium Armor:

A Chemical process makes Titanium, this compound is as durable
as steel, but less weight. If the entire ship is made from
titanium, it will be easier to maneuver. This attracts racing
pilots, but might be what a space-traveller wants.

   Armor Plating:
Cannot be fitted with Heavy Armor or any similar armor plating.
Ship takes 5 less points of damage from warm temperatures.
Armor Plating has: DR 9, 54hp/meter
; Price: 3000*SS

   Ship Hull:
Cannot be fitted with any other kind of ship hull, but you can
fit extra armor plating on the ship.
Ship takes 5 less points of damage from warm temperatures.
Ship Hull has: DR 9, 54hp/meter
+2 pilot checks for piloting the ship, this bonus voids if any
armor plating is put on the ship, that is not made from titanium.
Armor to AC: 5
; Price: 8000*SS

Tritanium Armor:

Founded: Kul Mining Corp
A Chemical process also makes Tritanium, this compound, looks quite
like titanium. But the abilities of Tritanium is quite different.
Tritanium has quite a higher density, meaning it endures quite alot
more beating than standard steel, or titanium.

   Armor Plating:
Cannot be fitted with Heavy Armor or any similar armor plating.
Armor Plating has: DR 12, 90hp/meter
; Price: 8000*SS

   Ship Hull:
Cannot be fitted with any other kind of ship hull, but you can
fit extra armor plating on the ship.
Ship Hull has: DR 12, 90hp/meter
Armor to AC: 5
; Price: 12000*SS

Special Arbsorbing Steel:

A specially treated steel, made for unique stealth ships. This
compound have the ability to distort sensors, basicly
arbsorbing radar waves, making the ship harder to track.
Besides that, its as strong as the standard steel.

   Armor Plating:
Cannot be fitted with Heavy Armor or any similar armor plating.
Armor Plating has: DR 10, 60hp/meter
+2 DC to detect fitted ship
; Price: 8000*SS

   Ship Hull:
Cannot be fitted with any other kind of ship hull, but you can
fit extra armor plating on the ship.
Ship Hull has: DR 10, 60hp/meter
+2 DC to detect fitted ship
Armor to AC: 5
; Price: 11000*SS
