Carrier Equipment

Interstellar Transport equipment:

- Many larger ships has either because of requirements, or maneuvering time
fitted in, a bay for smaller space-fairing vessels. Like escape shuttles, or
transport shuttles.
- Unless otherwise noted, these craft have an explosive type engine. They can
be bought with a gravitic engine, but at reduced price.

Launch Mechanisms:

- CM = Craft Modifier = The number indicated on the chosen Interstellar
Transport equipment “Launch Mechanism Modifier”
- NC = Number Craft Available = The number of craft the BAY can have in
store, if the Launch Mechanism is not a bay, it can only hold one craft.

Hull Expansion:

- Functions by making the craft a part of the external hull,
so few pieces of metal has to be moved before it launches.
This is quite a dangerous solution, and is not recommended
without atleast shielding. As escape craft are'nt made to
endure alot of damage.

Inboard Launch System:

- Operates behind a heavy metal door, when the door is opened
the craft can be launched. This uses up alot of internal space
but ensures the craft's safety. As long as the ships armor holds
that is. You are able with some fancy flying to land a shuttle
inside this launch system again, but if redocking is needed, a
Launching Bay is recommended.

Launching Bay:

- Functions like a workshop, refuell station and launch mechanism. The
Launching bay, is the most common for fighter crafts. Since repairs is
easy available in space. The backside of these bays, is that they require
enormous amounts of space, compared to a simple launch system.

Escape Crafts:

- Often, a combat is quickly determined by the power factor of ships. But one
important thing remains, the pilots. Calculators found that its vastly cheaper
to build an escape pod for the crew, than to train up an entirely new crew.
So a few different versions exist. These are also for sale to any customer
looking for a little insurance to survive.

Escape Pod:

- The Escape Pod is simple, its a round metal can. Without any
real engines and with little life support systems. Passengers
can just sit and hope somebody will pick them up in-flight.
There were also added minor engines so that it could maintain
orbit around a planet. These engines can only “just” steer
the vessel, it is not designed to propel the vessel. If
propelling is needed, they will have a hard time.

Space Shuttle:

- More advanced than an Escape Pod, the shuttle is a transport
craft designed to fly transport in space, since it lacks
atmospheric steering, its mostly used as escape craft. This
craft can only barely handle a landing on a planet, but will
land at a random location. Since no atmospheric steering is present.
- These shuttles propel at a 4500 km/h
- Maneuverability: Bad

Atmosphere Shuttle:

- The Atmosphere Shuttle is a transport craft carried by a bigger
spacecraft to handle multiple atmosphere trips. These shuttles
is only ment to function within the Atmosphere, and space flight
is not recommended. Thought the shuttle is cealed off, so it can
withstand the vacuum of space.
- These shuttles propel at a 1600 km/h - does not function in space
- Maneuverability: Good
- Includes: Distress signal Beacon, Radio, air refreshing system

- Each passager can be passed to be an extra 1m3 cargo space.

Space to Atmosphere Shuttle:

- The most advanced shuttle, this shuttle is able to do landings on
planets (barely). Has a standard 1m thick hull for spaceflight.
Often these shuttles serve as little transport ships to transport
minor goods from ship to ship, or ship to planet.

Escape Pod - Megaton

- Basicly an Escape Pod, but this mammoth require twice the
space, but is also made to withstand some of the most fierce
attacks made against it. This is one heavy piece of metal,
finely wired with little upgrades that the escape pod did'nt
have.

Worker Craft:

- Craft which has a special working module equipped, like harvesting the
iron out of an asteroid. It could also be doing external repairs to the
carrying ship, or a friendly ship.

Freighter Shuttle:

- A freighter shuttle is a shuttle based on less manning, and removing
some emergency mechanisms. To fit more space for those ships which
cannot enter orbit of a planet.
- Includes: Air refreshing system, radio, basic sensors, 1 day rations
for full crew.

Freighter Lifter:

- A freighter Lifter is something like a spacecrafts interstellar
forklift. It will carry the cargo in a special designed container,
to or from the spacecraft, housing these craft. The container is
bought seperately, and will be priced on a chart below this craft
chart.

Cargo Container:

- These Cargo Containers are designed to be used as freight containers. Carried by smaller ships, these containers is made to endure landing orbit, flying off a planet, and little more. They are completely space proof, and any inside container need not be specially modified. - Includes: Air refreshing system (1 hour until recharge), heat sensor (insides), air breaking flaps, parachute (remote controlled), cooling/ heating system.

Fighters:

- Fighters is an important defense feature of very large ships. Being able
to fly out, and intercept other incoming fighters. Which the main guns
will have problems with hitting. These little drones, though they need
manning. They fly at quite a velocity, but often doesnt have very much
armor.
- The passenger count is the number of pilots needed for full system operation.
- Each fighter, when weapons is charged and ready to fire, imposes a -2 equipment
penalty to pilot checks.
- Unless otherwise noted, these fighters have: Basic sensors.

Athma:

- Developped: Xpert - The famous Athma series, uses a standard blaster to punch through
the armor of enemy ships. These were inspired alot from the Namon,
which was the first real energy weapon fighter, using laser weapons.

- Developped: Zen Labs - Kotat, its quite a good fighter, though there not many
variants of this fighter. These uses continous lasers
as weapons, which means they dont move fast while fighting.
But should deal quite serious damage.
- But it imposes a -4 penalty on pilot checks when weapons
are turned on.
- These fighters inquire an additional -2 to pilot checks.
- These fighters have an additional +5 DR against Ion Damage.

Ibizlo:

- Developped: Hann Corp - When the Ibizlo first showed, it was frightening. Being the
only known fighter using Ion cannons as weapons. These
“stings” left the enemy drifting in space, effectively waiting
for even the smallest of blasters to finish it off.

- Developped: Lotus Racing - The Namon, the first real fighter used for space combat. These
fighters was as good as expected. Showing up in numbers, they
can deal quite some damage. Using Slug weapons, they need to
go to a carrier and refill ammo stocks in extended battles.

temperatures.
